On 11 October 2009 members called Banxian & R3wdy managed to successfully load the first exploit on a Meizu M8 first edition, this opened the door for running Linux kernels on Meizu devices. Development Status

At the moment a basic Android package is up and running on Meizu M8 series, this with a custom made dualbootloader called Tinyloader, the current running linux kernel is 2.6.27 with the android version 1.5(cupcake).

For now only the basic functions do work like support for M8/SE, booting from 8 & 16 GB internal storage, Audio out, Touchscreen, LCD output, power button (power-off) & a workaround to mount /disk.

This means that the project still needs developers to get a workaround for the baseband (calls, sms, gprs,..), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & …

So if you have any knowledge on Windows Mobile, Windows Ce, Linux ,… You are invited to help this project further!
